Bones II
Bones II
Acrylic on Canvas
30in x 40in
I wanted to take the underlying skeleton of Bones 1 and incorporate something inspired more by my Tampa locale. Tampa Bay has deep industrial underpinnings to how it grew and developed over the generations, as symbolized by the “bones” of a very human, deliberate construction.
Yet, our industries and literally our physical area are surrounded by and built around water. We may build over and around the water, but it will always be there with its strong currents, underneath and around us.
This piece had previously been on display at Amalie Arena as part of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 8th Annual Celebration of the Arts.
