I live in the Tampa Bay area, where we take Pride very seriously (and by “seriously,” I mean we treat it like the most fabulous religious holiday with a lot of beads and feather boas). In fact, St. Pete Pride is the largest Pride celebration in Florida and one of the largest in the whole Southeastern U.S.

While Pride is a happy day for our LGBTQIA friends and family, it also recognizes the generations-long struggle that people past and present have in navigating this world. Sometimes it’s a process of understanding who you are, accepting that, and embracing it. This three-piece collection marks the journey of someone who has to go through this process of acceptance, coming out, and embracing themselves.
